FWI Impact Report June 2024

Dear Friends of FWI, here we report on our latest activities.

1. We delivered a photocopy machine to Kwarei Primary School in Bumbuli District.

2. ⁠We delivered medical equipment to Sunga, Masereka, Mambo, Mbuzii, Kongei, Mambo. Mhezi, Viti, Chibelela, and Mbuzii health clinics;

3. ⁠The continuing Afya ya Mtoto malnutrition program weight checked and fed 107 children (5 new, 7 no-show) in their need (Here is the latest monthly report from the program);

4. ⁠We began delivering baby nutrition (Lactogen1) to eight newborn babies. The mothers of four of them died during childbirth. Triplets, born prematurely to a malnourished mother, are all being well cared for in Lushoto hospital with our financial support;

5. ⁠The steep pathway to access the Maguzoni health clinic is now complete.

6. ⁠Sita Primary School toilets are now complete;

7. ⁠Our women’s groups produced 40 reusable menstrual kits for distribution into schools.

8. We have received certificate signed by the District Commissioner (the President‘s representative) and the District Executive Director (Head of district bureaucracy). They are the two most powerful government functionaries in the region.
